Reena founded Yoga Loughborough after completing her initial Teacher Training Course. Her inspiration came about when she couldn’t find a local class similar to her preferred style and also felt the need to develop an inclusive community. Although having a successful corporate career Reena dedicated her time fully to the teaching and practice of Yoga. Reena graduated from Kings College London and Loughborough University although credits much of her inspiration to the teachings of Classical Yoga and Vedanta.
Reena started practicing meditation from an early age and was later introduced to yoga by her uncle Kishore who lives in Boston, USA. She credits much of her early learning and positive support to Kishore. Nicknamed Swami K!
Growing up Reena loved to dance and completed her Diploma in Bharatnatyam, a South Indian Classical Dance. Also passionate about sport, played in hockey and netball teams. Her yoga assignments include teaching and introducing yoga to all Premier League Referees at St Georges Park (home of England’s Football Team).
Reena has travelled extensively, staying in mindful communities and yoga ashrams around the world. She completed her Advanced Teacher Training Certification in the Himalayas. India.
Reena is an Experienced Member of the Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. She has over 2500 hours of teaching experience and has completed a number of additional training courses. Reena is insured with Balens and the Yoga Alliance Professionals UK.
